1. Unit selection
This is where you set up the unit types you'd like to take on your
march. These will be either the troops or monsters you can train, or
the mercenaries you have available.
Note: Holding the "Alt" key ("Option" on Mac) while clicking any
unit type will select all units of that type and tier. Give it a
try!
2. Army size and limits
Limits (optional)
Trained troops require leadership, mercenaries require authority,
and monsters require dominance. You can find your limits on the
troop selection screen, and they will vary widely based on the hero/captain you have
selected, or whether you're taking your dragon.
Filling in this information allows us to detect when your selected
configuration will exceed your limits. It will also enable use of
the
Find it for me button.

Base Count
This is the size of your smallest, strongest stack of normal troops
(usually guardsmen). All other squads sizes will be calculated using
this as a basis, optimized so that your best troops survive as long
as possible.
The Find it for me button is experimental. It will
try to find the best (biggest) base count number for you based on
available leadership. Let me know how it goes!
3. Battle planning
Once your settings have been provided, use the
Create Battle Plan button to generate a report and
view the exact number of troops to take on your march. The report
can be further refined by providing additional information below.

Revival Cost Reduction
Find this by clicking on your temple. It will help us provide a more
accurate prediction of revival cost. It ranges from 1.04 at level 1,
to 5.91 at level 45.
Enemy Stacks
Specifying how many stacks the enemy is carrying will let us build a
better attack assessment.
Specialist Adjustment
You typically want specialists to be killed before guardsmen,
because guardsmen are stronger against monsters. Choose how many
specialists you'd like to add to each stack so they get targeted
(and killed) first.
Health Bonuses
If you have any health bonuses that apply disproportionately to a
given unit type, specify those here. Don't worry about being
precise, but (for example) if you're using Wu then you'll want to
account for the increased health of flying units.
Tier Multiplier
You want lower tier units to die before higher tier ones, and one
way to manage this is by increasing the size of progressively
lower-tiered units.
Originally, this was done by simply doubling the unit count for
every tier decrease as your stacks are being calculated. However,
it was pointed out that a multiplier of 1.9 is actually better:
lower tiers will retain their higher stacked HP, you can
distribute more of your valuable leadership headroom to your prime
tier units.
Previous versions of this calculator hard-coded a value of
2.0, so if you like the old behavior you can just
fill that in and be happy. This version will default to
1.9. Feel free to use the
Create Battle Plan button with various values and get an
estimate of how it will perform.

Local Profiles
Save, load, and manage different local profiles. Great for
switching between captains, or when facing multiple epics with
different requirements (like snake vs wolf during Ragnarok).
Import and Export
Import settings from a file, or export them to a file. Great for
sharing with friends and clan mates.
Data Cleanup
Is something no longer working how you'd expect? Do you want to
start over clean? Click the
Factory Reset button to restore all settings to
their default values.
Note: The page will automatically reload once settings have
been cleared.
